The Diocese of Asaba, Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion, is set to make a bold statement of compassion and service as it officially launches the Diocese of Asaba Agape Foundation (DAAF) — themed “Touching Lives.”
The much-anticipated launch is scheduled to hold on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at 3:30 PM, at the Knight House, Bishopcourt, Asaba. The event is expected to attract dignitaries from across the ecclesiastical, social, and humanitarian spectrum.
DAAF, a philanthropic initiative of the Diocese, is envisioned to serve as a beacon of hope, offering charitable support and empowerment to the underprivileged. The project is spearheaded by The Rt Reverend Kingsley Chukwukamadu Obuh, Bishop of the Asaba Diocese, with Engr. Chike Nwosu (KSC) serving as the Projector and Promoter of the NGO.
The launch will be graced by distinguished spiritual leaders including: The Most Reverend Dr. Owen Chidozie Nwokolo, Bishop of the Niger Diocese; The Right Reverend Godfrey I. Ekpenis, Bishop of Ika Diocese; and The Right Reverend Festus Uzorka Nwafili, Bishop of Ndokwa Diocese.
The event also honors prominent community figures: Ezinna Samuel Okeleke and Ezinna G.C.O. Ikemefula as Fathers of the Day, and Ezinne Edna Ndili alongside Dame Patience Nkem Okwuofu as Mothers of the Day.
The Diocese has extended a warm invitation to the public, urging all to join in what promises to be a spiritually uplifting and impactful event focused on community service and human development.
“The foundation is our way of reaching beyond the church walls to demonstrate Christ’s love in action,” Bishop Obuh stated ahead of the launch.
As anticipation builds, the Diocese remains committed to ensuring that the DAAF becomes a lasting instrument for positive change in Delta State and beyond.
