The National Leader of the Peace Awareness Movement, Alhaji Awo Destiny Harmony, has lambasted social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VDM, over what he described as a desperate and misguided attempt to gain relevance by demanding explanations from Seyi Tinubu regarding the already debunked kidnapping allegations made by factional NANS President, Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah.
In a strongly worded statement issued in Abuja, Alhaji Awo expressed dismay that VDM continues to stoke the flames of a thoroughly discredited narrative, despite Comrade Isah’s public confession and apology admitting the allegations were entirely fabricated.

“Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah has openly confessed that he was neither kidnapped nor assaulted by anyone connected to Seyi Tinubu. He admitted to inventing the entire story, including the ludicrous claim of a ₦100 million bribe. What, then, is VDM trying to achieve by reviving a lie that even its originator has buried?” Awo asked.
He accused VDM of exploiting social media platforms to chase cheap popularity. “He should stop this clout-chasing charade. He is gradually becoming a poster child for empty activism. If social media disappeared today, he’d vanish with it. Our youths must prioritize meaningful pursuits over phantom crusades,” Awo stated.

Awo further challenged VDM to redirect his energy toward questioning Atiku Abubakar Isah directly, rather than dragging innocent individuals into a controversy that has already crumbled under the weight of its own falsehoods.
“It is now public knowledge that Comrade Isah isn’t even the legitimate NANS President. He’s an impostor—barely a 100-level student—and was constitutionally ineligible to contest in the first place. Why hasn’t VDM focused on that?” he queried.

The peace advocate emphasized that at no point was Isah coerced or intimidated into issuing his apology. “Isah’s retraction was made of his own volition. If anything, he should be arrested and prosecuted for peddling falsehoods, misleading the public, and attempting to tarnish the reputations of Seyi Tinubu and the Honourable Minister of Youth.”

Awo concluded with a direct message to VDM:
“Seyi Tinubu is far above your gimmicks. You won’t get the attention you crave from him. Stop chasing shadows and start seeking substance.”
