Barrister Allen Onyema, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation for Ethnic Harmony in Nigeria (FEHN), alongside the leadership and members of the organization, has expressed heartfelt condolences to Comrade Shedrack Lucky Agediga following the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Binkayai Ekperekemi Agediga.
Mama Binkayai, who passed away at the age of 104, died peacefully in Sokebolou, Ogulagha community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State. The FEHN delegation, led by Civicist Rex Anighoro, attended the funeral ceremonies which took place on Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Sokebolou, to show solidarity and support for their colleague.

Speaking to journalists during the event, Civicist Rex Anighoro—who also serves as the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Civic Engagement and Civil Society—described Mama Binkayai’s death as a significant loss, both personally and collectively, to Barrister Allen Onyema and the entire FEHN family.
According to Anighoro, Mama Binkayai lived a long, impactful, and virtuous life marked by service to God and humanity. He noted that she was known for her warmth, generosity, and compassion—qualities she passed on to her son, Comrade Shedrack Agediga, whom he praised as a dependable leader, selfless advocate, and an exemplary teacher and friend.
“Though Mama’s passing is painful, her legacy is one that deserves to be celebrated,” Anighoro said. “We pray that God grants Comrade Shedrack Agediga and the entire Agediga family the strength and comfort they need during this difficult time.”
Comrade Shedrack Lucky Agediga, a respected civil society leader, is the founder of the Shedrack Agediga Foundation (SAF) and currently serves as Chairman of the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board. For over two decades, he has been deeply involved in peacebuilding, leadership development, and humanitarian advocacy across the Niger Delta. His longstanding partnership with Barrister Allen Onyema—who also chairs Air Peace—reflects a shared commitment to nonviolence and national cohesion.

The Foundation for Ethnic Harmony in Nigeria (FEHN) remains at the forefront of promoting peace, ethnic unity, and responsible leadership across the country, and its support for Comrade Agediga in this time of mourning is a testament to the deep bonds of solidarity and respect within the organization.
