As Delta State marks the second anniversary of the administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, I, Chief Hon. Napoleon New-Year Iffie, Executive Assistant on Community Development, proudly join millions of Deltans in commending the remarkable strides made under his visionary leadership.
In the space of just two years, Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated what purposeful governance can achieve. With peace, unity, and inclusive growth as the bedrock of his administration, the Governor’s MORE Agenda has moved from policy to practice, transforming lives and communities across the state.
From the creeks of the Niger Delta to the uplands of Anioma, Deltans are witnessing the positive impact of policies driven by empathy, equity, and development. Youth empowerment initiatives, skills acquisition programs, and financial support for budding entrepreneurs are helping to reduce unemployment and build a resilient local economy. Roads once impassable have been reconstructed; healthcare facilities have been rehabilitated and equipped; and educational infrastructure is being restored to inspire the next generation.
Rural communities that were once neglected now enjoy the benefits of clean water projects, solar-powered streetlights, agricultural assistance, and regular health outreach programs. The administration has also provided job opportunities through direct employment in various sectors of government, further reinforcing its commitment to inclusive development.
Governor Oborevwori’s leadership style is marked by humility, accessibility, and a genuine concern for the welfare of every Deltan—irrespective of ethnicity, faith, or background. In every community I visit, his name is spoken with gratitude—by market women, traditional rulers, youth groups, and community leaders—testifying to a government that listens and delivers.
Your Excellency, the people of Delta State are proud of your accomplishments. You have not only sustained the legacy of good governance but have also raised the bar with compassion, competence, and courage. As you continue to steer the affairs of our great state, may divine wisdom and strength continue to guide your path.
Delta State is indeed moving forward—and the journey has only just begun.
Chief Hon. Napoleon New-Year Iffie
