The Committee on the Verification of Political Appointees has rescheduled the screening dates for appointees from Ethiope East, Ethiope West, Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie Local Government Areas.
The adjustment follows the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ward Congress scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 18th February and Thursday, 19th February, 2026.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Committee, Mr. Felix Irevwi, the rescheduling was approved to enable affected appointees participate in the APC Ward Congress.
According to the statement, the new screening dates are as follows:
Wednesday, 4th March, 2026 – Ethiope East and Ethiope West Local Government Areas
Thursday, 5th March, 2026 – Okpe, Sapele, and Uvwie Local Government Areas
The Committee further noted that, aside from this adjustment, the screening schedule earlier announced by the Secretary to the State Government and the Verification Committee on 20th and 26th January, 2026, respectively, remains unchanged and valid.
The Committee apologized for any inconvenience the rescheduling may cause to the affected appointees.
