Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated Chief Solomon Val Arenyeka on his emergence as Delta State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the successful conduct of the party’s State Congress.
In a statement issued on March 3, 2026, the lawmaker also extended his felicitations to members of the newly constituted State Working Committee, describing their emergence as a reflection of the confidence reposed in them by party faithful across the state.
Dafinone commended the peaceful, orderly and transparent process that produced the new leadership, noting that it reaffirmed the party’s democratic credentials and underscored growing cohesion within its ranks in Delta State.
According to him, the outcome of the congress represents both a vote of confidence and a solemn mandate for purposeful, courageous and unifying leadership at a critical moment in the party’s political trajectory.
He charged the new chairman and his team to consolidate internal democracy, strengthen party structures across the 25 local government areas, and entrench a culture of discipline, accountability and collective responsibility capable of inspiring confidence among the electorate.
“As we approach critical political engagements ahead, unity must remain our uncompromising watchword,” Dafinone stated, urging the leadership to foster reconciliation where necessary, harmonise diverse interests, and build a formidable grassroots-driven platform that positions the APC as a credible and dominant alternative in Delta State.
The senator further emphasised the need for strategic mobilisation, effective communication, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of progressive governance in order to deliver sustainable development and inclusive prosperity to the people.
He expressed optimism about working closely with the new State Working Committee to advance the vision of the party and strengthen its presence across the state.
