The Delta State Government has called on eligible indigenes of the state to take advantage of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 34/2025 enlistment exercise, describing it as a golden opportunity for graduates and professionals to serve the nation while advancing their careers.
According to a government announcement issued through the Bureau for Orientation and Communications, the online application process will run from August 27 to October 7, 2025 via the official portal: www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.
The DSSC scheme provides an avenue for qualified Nigerian graduates and post-graduates—male and female—to enlist as officers in specialized fields such as engineering, medicine, ICT, and cyber security. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, aged between 20 and 32 (with limited exceptions for certain professionals), single, physically and medically fit, and in possession of a minimum of Second Class Upper (degree) or Upper Credit (HND). An NYSC discharge certificate is also compulsory.
Successful candidates will undergo six to nine months of intensive military training before being commissioned as Flying Officers. The state government emphasized that the entire process is free of charge, warning applicants to beware of fraudsters.
The statement noted that the initiative aligns with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda on wealth creation and job opportunities, stressing that Delta youths should maximize the opening to build a career in national service.
“Good luck to all applicants of Delta State origin. Apply now and make the state proud,” the statement added.
