The Delta State Head of Service, Dr. (Mrs.) Mininim Oseji, has commended public and civil servants for keying into the state’s ongoing civil service reform and repositioning agenda.
Dr. Oseji gave the commendation during the third and final edition of the 2025 Breakfast Dialogue with the Head of Service, held at the Press Centre, Government House, Asaba.
She noted that the state government continues to prioritize capacity development, introducing innovative training approaches such as instructional YouTube videos and in-house knowledge-building sessions to equip officers with the skills required for optimal performance.
The HoS also disclosed that a retirement preparedness programme is being designed for officers approaching retirement. The initiative, she explained, will help them acquire relevant competencies while enabling them to transfer institutional knowledge to upcoming professionals.
The event featured presentations on Health and Lifestyle Changes, Development of an Annual Operational Plan, and the unveiling of a Statistics Bulletin.
Certificates and prizes were also presented to winners of the HoS Monthly Online Quiz Competition.
Speaking at the event, Permanent Secretary, Mr. Wilson Chukwuka, applauded Dr. Oseji’s visionary leadership and reaffirmed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the state’s public service.
