A member of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Barr.) Ifechukwukwu Bridget Anyafulu, has congratulated five exceptional students from public schools in Delta State for their outstanding victory at the prestigious World School Debate Championship held in Doha, Qatar.
The victorious students — Wisdom Chukwuma, Otorvo Uyoyou, Abraham Honour, Ekhamateh Splendour, and Alika Daniel — earned global acclaim after emerging champions at the highly competitive event, showcasing their intellectual prowess and eloquence on the international stage.
In a statement issued on behalf of her family and the people of Oshimili South, Hon. Anyafulu commended the students for their discipline, preparation, and determination, which she described as “a powerful reminder of what is possible when talent meets opportunity.”
“You have brought great pride not only to our state but to the entire nation. Your remarkable performance is a testament to the strength of Delta State’s education system and the boundless potential of our young people when they are supported, encouraged, and inspired to lead,” she said.
The lawmaker representing Oshimili South State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly also extended gratitude to the teachers, mentors, and families whose dedication and guidance contributed to the students’ success.
“To the students, well done once again. I have no doubt that your achievement will serve as a lasting inspiration to your peers across the country. The world has taken notice, and this is only the beginning,” she added.
