The Delta State Judiciary has officially announced its 2025 annual vacation schedule, set to commence on Friday, August 1, 2025, and run through Monday, September 29, 2025.
According to a statement issued by Mrs. Eloho Okodiya-Onoriose, the Chief Registrar of the Delta State Judiciary, the Honourable Chief Judge of Delta State, Justice Tessy Diai, has designated vacation judges to handle urgent causes, matters, and applications during the period.
To ensure continued judicial service throughout the vacation, judges will be sitting at specific locations within the three senatorial districts:
- Asaba for Delta North Senatorial District
- Warri for Delta South Senatorial District
- Effurun for Delta Central Senatorial District
The statement further clarified that all judicial divisions in Delta North, excluding Asaba, will continue manual case filing during the vacation. However, Asaba Judicial Division will operate via E-filing.
In line with this directive, registrars in divisions outside Asaba within the Delta North Senatorial District are required to manually transmit case files that qualify as urgent to the Asaba registry for necessary action by the assigned vacation judge.
Lawyers, litigants, and members of the public are advised to take note of the vacation arrangements and comply accordingly.
