The Acting President of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association (UIAA) Worldwide, Dr. Terrumun Hembaor Gajir, has extended heartfelt Christmas and New Year greetings to alumni of the University of Ibadan across the globe, expressing deep appreciation for their unwavering support and commitment to the Association.
In his seasonal message to members, Dr. Gajir reflected on the spirit of gratitude, unity and hope that defines the yuletide period, praying for peace, joy and renewed strength for UIAA members and their families as the year draws to a close.
He acknowledged the immense goodwill, loyalty and sacrifices demonstrated by UIAA Branches, Chapters and individual members since he assumed office as Acting President on April 12, 2025. According to him, the collective efforts, encouragement and prayers of members—often offered quietly and selflessly—have remained the backbone of the Association’s stability, growth and smooth operations.
Dr. Gajir paid special tribute to executives at all levels, Branch and Chapter leaders, and alumni worldwide for standing firmly with the Association during the period, noting that their dedication has helped to rekindle the cherished spirit of brotherhood and shared heritage that defines graduates of Nigeria’s premier university.
“As products of the Great University of Ibadan, our shared values of excellence, integrity, service and compassion continue to bind us together,” he said, while calling on members to remain united and purpose-driven as the Association enters a new year filled with promise.
Looking ahead, the Acting President expressed confidence that sustained unity and collective resolve would further strengthen UIAA’s global relevance and impact, particularly in giving meaningful support to the University of Ibadan and contributing positively to society.
Dr. Gajir thanked members for the trust reposed in him and for their unwavering belief in the Association’s shared vision. He concluded by wishing UIAA members and their families a Merry Christmas and a New Year marked by good health, peace, hope and abundant blessings.
