As Christians across the world commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency (Dcn) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Esq. has extended warm Easter greetings to faithful of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the people of Delta State, calling for renewed hope, unity, and commitment to the collective good.
In a goodwill message released on Sunday, Otuaro described Easter as a season that embodies the virtues of sacrifice, love, and triumph over adversity, urging citizens to draw inspiration from the significance of the celebration.
He emphasized that the message of Easter remains a powerful reminder of the need for resilience and faith, especially in challenging times, noting that just as Christ overcame trials, Nigerians, particularly Deltans, must remain steadfast in their pursuit of peace, progress, and prosperity.
The immediate past deputy governor, widely regarded as a rallying figure within the PDP in Delta State, encouraged party faithful to remain united and focused, stressing that cohesion within the party is vital for sustaining democratic ideals and delivering good governance to the people.
“Easter offers us a moment to reflect on the enduring values of love, sacrifice, and service to humanity. It is a time to strengthen our bonds as a people and recommit ourselves to building a more inclusive and prosperous Delta State,” he stated.
Otuaro further called on leaders at all levels to prioritize the welfare of the people, adding that the spirit of Easter should inspire selfless leadership and renewed dedication to public service.
He also urged citizens to use the festive period to promote peace, extend kindness to one another, and support the less privileged in society.
“As we celebrate this sacred season, I wish all PDP faithful and the good people of Delta State a blessed Easter filled with love, good health, and renewed hope,” Otuaro added.
The message comes amid ongoing political realignments and growing expectations ahead of future electoral cycles in the state, with stakeholders emphasizing unity and grassroots engagement as key to sustained development.
