Senator Ede Dafinone, who represents Delta Central Senatorial District, has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Delta Central, across the country and around the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging Nigerians to embrace the values of unity, compassion and peaceful coexistence.
In a statement to mark the celebration, Dafinone said Eid-el-Fitr signifies not only the end of Ramadan, a holy month of fasting, prayer, sacrifice and spiritual renewal, but also a period for deep reflection on the virtues of patience, discipline, generosity and love for one another.
The lawmaker called on Muslims and Nigerians at large to sustain the lessons of Ramadan by strengthening family and community ties, promoting mutual respect and extending a hand of support to the less privileged.
He said the season should serve as a reminder of the need for forgiveness, gratitude and collective responsibility in the task of building a more just, inclusive and compassionate society.
According to him, the spirit of Eid-el-Fitr offers an opportunity for citizens to renew their commitment to peaceful coexistence and national harmony.
Dafinone also prayed for Allah’s peace, joy, sound health and abundant blessings upon Muslim faithful and their families as they celebrate the festival.
“On behalf of my family and my team, I wish you a most fulfilling and memorable Eid celebration,” the senator stated.
The statement was signed by Senator Ede Dafinone of Delta Central Senatorial District and dated March 21, 2026.
