President Bola Tinubu has unveiled a documentary chronicling his first two years in office, describing the period as one defined by “courage, sacrifice, and national renewal.”
Titled “Two Years of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu: The Documentary,” the film reflects on the administration’s most consequential reforms and the challenges that have shaped its leadership journey.
Taking to his official social media handle on Friday, President Tinubu wrote: “From tough reforms to steady recovery, ‘Two years of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu: The Documentary’, reflects on two defining years of courage, sacrifice, and national renewal.
“This is not just a documentary. It is the story of a nation refusing to fail. Of bold decisions made in the eye of the storm. Of a leader choosing what is right over what is easy.”
The president, who assumed office on May 29, 2023, launched sweeping economic reforms early in his tenure, including the removal of petrol subsidies and a unification of the foreign exchange market.
While these measures drew mixed reactions and led to short-term hardship, Tinubu insisted they were necessary to avert economic collapse.
“Watch how we stopped the bleeding, stabilized the economy, and began building a future where every Nigerian counts,” he stated in the post. Nigeria: Nigerian fashion
He added that the country is emerging from its most difficult phase: “The hardest part is behind us. The harvest is beginning. The mission continues.”
The documentary is expected to detail key policy decisions, the administration’s handling of economic and security challenges, and efforts to reposition Nigeria on the path of sustainable growth.
