President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF), Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Deltans, Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, as well as the nation’s sporting community, calling on citizens to embrace unity, compassion and renewed hope as the year draws to a close.
In his Christmas message, Ochei described the festive season as a profound reminder of the enduring values of love, peace, sacrifice and hope, urging Nigerians to reflect on their shared humanity and recommit to service and togetherness.
“Even in the face of challenges, the spirit of Christmas reassures us that brighter days lie ahead when we stand together with faith and purpose,” he said.
The NTF President highlighted the critical role of sports—particularly tennis—in nurturing discipline, teamwork and resilience among young people, noting that these values remain essential for national development and social cohesion.
Ochei commended Nigerian athletes, coaches, administrators and stakeholders for their resilience, dedication and passion, applauding their efforts in elevating the nation’s sporting profile and projecting Nigeria positively on the global stage.
“As we celebrate with family and loved ones, let us also remember the less privileged, promote peace in our communities, and keep hope alive for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria,” he added.
He concluded by wishing Nigerians a joyous Christmas and expressing optimism for the coming year, praying that the New Year would usher in renewed strength, success and greater opportunities for individuals and the nation at large.
Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei wished all Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a peaceful, fulfilling New Year.
