This question is not an insult. It is an awakening, a soft but firm shake at the shoulders of every woman who has been taught, directly or subtly, that her identity begins and ends in the shadows of the men in her life.
Many women are raised to believe that a father’s name opens doors and a husband’s name sustains her relevance. But what happens when these names are stripped away? What remains when the titles of “wife of” and “daughter of” are silenced? What voice echoes back when she asks herself: Who am I?
This is why self-development is not optional, it is survival. Genuine success in academia and career is not just about earning degrees or salaries; it is about building an inner wealth that no divorce, no widowhood, no changing family name can erase. It is about equipping oneself with knowledge, skills, and confidence so solid that whether you stand beside a King or stand alone, you stand tall.
Every woman must be intentional about her growth. Read, learn, acquire new skills. Push boundaries. Earn that promotion. Defend that thesis. Build that business. Not for applause, but so that her life tells her own story, written in her own hand, signed with her own name.
For when the world tries to define her by the men around her, she can smile and say, “Remove every name ,what remains is still enough. I am whole. I am complete. I am me.”
If you are a WOMAN on this space and you are one of my followers, read this with deep sense of interpretation, take action and let’s MOVE.
