Members of the Sagay Family Worldwide on Saturday, December 27, 2025, converged at their ancestral home, Sagay Quarters, Amukpe, Sapele, Delta State, for the much-anticipated End-of-Year/Reunion Party, a colourful celebration of unity, heritage and collective progress.
The annual gathering, organised by the Sagay Like Minds, brought together sons, daughters and friends of the illustrious Sagay Family from across Nigeria and beyond, reaffirming shared values of love, togetherness and cultural pride.
The 2025 edition stood out as a truly memorable occasion, featuring an intercessory prayer session for the family, engaging variety games, the formal inauguration of the newly elected Sagay Family Youth Executive, and a vibrant Family Gates Dance that showcased rich cultural expressions. Guests were also treated to a sumptuous spread of food and drinks, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Delivering a goodwill message, the Head of the Sagay Family Worldwide, Chief (Prof.) Itsejuwa Esanjumin Sagay, ably represented by the Olare-Aja Representative, Pst. Ransome Sagay, commended the organisers for sustaining the family’s legacy of unity and inclusiveness. He expressed heartfelt felicitations to all members and offered prayers for enduring peace, love and cohesion within the family.
The inauguration of the Sagay Family Youth Executive was conducted under the supervision of family elders, led by Pst. Ransome Sagay. Mr. Gbemi Sagay administered the Oath of Office, while Pst. Noble Sagay, the Family Secretary, prayed for divine wisdom and success for the new executives. Certificates of Return were thereafter presented by Pst. Ransome Sagay.
The newly inaugurated Sagay Family Youth Executive includes Mr. Livingstone Sagay as President; Mr. Imma Sagay, Vice President; Ms. Tosan Ganranwei, Secretary; Mrs. Blessing Fasomo, Treasurer; Miss Omotayo Sagay, Financial Secretary; Mr. Amaju Sagay, Public Relations Officer; Mrs. Endurance Olusesi, Director of Socials; Miss Shekinah Sagay, Social Media Handler; and Mr. Akpomiemie Ogbakpa, Welfare Secretary. The Patrons of the Youth body are Mr. Ola Binitie, Mr. Lovelance Sagay and Mr. Omasan Sagay.
The well-attended event attracted several notable dignitaries, including Chief (Dame) Ebiyemi Omatseye, Mother of the Day; Chief Clifford Sagay; Mrs. Victoria Ganranwei; Mr. Paddy Ize-Iyamu; Mr. Alex Sagay; members of the Ugburajo Itsekiri Youth Council led by its National President; and numerous friends of the family.
The Sagay Family End-of-Year Party, which holds on the last Saturday of every year, remains a unifying platform that strengthens bonds among family members and friends, while preserving cultural heritage for future generations.
