The National Leader of the Niger Delta Peace Awareness Movement, Alhaji Awo Destiny Harmony, has issued a stern warning to the factional President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah, urging him to immediately cease the spread of falsehoods and politically motivated narratives aimed at tarnishing the reputation of Mr. Seyi Tinubu.

Responding to a widely circulated video in which Comrade Isah leveled grave allegations—including kidnapping, torture, and the alleged sponsorship of thugs to disrupt NANS inauguration activities—Alhaji Harmony dismissed the claims as entirely baseless, politically engineered, and part of a broader campaign by anti-democratic forces and failed politicians.
“Seyi Tinubu is a respected and accomplished youth advocate who has consistently championed nation-building and youth empowerment across various sectors,” Alhaji Harmony said. “It is not only irresponsible but shameful for anyone, especially someone who claims to represent Nigerian students, to fabricate such wild allegations in a bid to score cheap political points.”

He continued, “Comrade Atiku Abubakar Isah must be reminded that Seyi Tinubu remains a symbol of integrity and youth excellence. At no time has he engaged in any act that could undermine the unity or progress of Nigerian students or the broader youth movement.”
Alhaji Harmony further warned the factional NANS leader against inciting students through deliberate misinformation and distortion of facts. “Your attempt to malign the Tinubu family will ultimately collapse under the weight of truth and public accountability. Evidence points to your actions being sponsored by opposition elements who have lost political relevance and now resort to propaganda and subversion.”

He described the kidnapping and torture claims as a “desperate fairy tale, poorly scripted to mislead the public and stir unrest.” He challenged Comrade Isah to present verifiable evidence to law enforcement agencies if his claims were genuine. “If indeed such an incident occurred, where is the police report? Where is the medical record? Why hasn’t legal action been initiated? This is nothing more than a politically scripted drama,” he queried.
Condemning the factional leader’s efforts to stir unrest within tertiary institutions, Alhaji Harmony warned that such recklessness would not go unchallenged. “We know those backing you, and we are closely monitoring your activities. Your campaign of lies will fail, and if you persist, you will be held accountable for incitement and defamation.”
He urged Nigerian students and the general public to disregard these fabrications and instead focus on the progressive, youth-centered initiatives being implemented by President Bola Tinubu—such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and the recent disbursement of over N100 billion to ten public universities to enhance teaching, learning, and research.

“It is unfortunate that a supposed student leader would ignore these milestones and instead act as a puppet for political saboteurs,” Alhaji Harmony concluded.
