The Head of Service (HoS) of Delta State, Dr. (Mrs.) Mininim Oseji, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology, Dr. Ejiro Ogheneaga, as he officially retires from the Delta State Civil Service today, August 8, 2025.

Dr. Oseji offered her warm wishes during a courtesy visit by Dr. Ogheneaga to her office, marking part of the activities to commemorate his exit from public service.
Reflecting on Dr. Ogheneaga’s decades of dedicated service, the Head of Service praised his distinguished career, which included notable roles such as the State Reproductive Health Coordinator, Epidemiologist, and Director of Planning, Research and Statistics in the Ministry of Health, among other ministries.
She described his retirement as the beginning of a new chapter and prayed for continued success and more opportunities in his post-service journey. Dr. Oseji also expressed best wishes for a fulfilling and enriching retirement life.
Notably, she remarked that Dr. Ogheneaga is the first Permanent Secretary to retire under her tenure as Head of Service. As a fellow medical professional, she encouraged him to explore new ventures and continue leveraging his vast expertise in health, development, and technology.
In his remarks, Dr. Ejiro Ogheneaga officially announced his retirement and expressed gratitude to the Delta State Government for the opportunity to serve in various capacities. He noted that one of the most valuable lessons he learned in service was that “teamwork is the most effective means of achieving meaningful results.”
Dr. Ogheneaga also thanked the Head of Service for her support and positive influence, as well as all colleagues and mentors who contributed significantly to his career journey.
Present at the event were the Chairman and Secretary of the Delta State College of Permanent Secretaries, Dr. Ngozi Mogbolu and Mr. Fred Yoro. Others in attendance included Mr. Maxwell Ause, Permanent Secretary, Office of the Head of Service; Mr. Kingsley Olomukoro, Acting Permanent Secretary, Directorate of Establishments and Pensions; Mr. Usenu Anthony, Director, Public Service Matters; and Mrs. Mabel Emerure, Special Assistant to the Head of Service.
