Apostle Kukuru Benjamin, popularly known as Ebis, a prominent chieftain from the All Progressives Congress in Warri North Local Government Area, has lauded the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, saying the governor’s achievements so far reflect a transformative administration under the MORE Agenda.
In a statement released in Warri, Ebis singled out the governor’s infrastructure projects as among the most visible and impactful of his administration noting that road construction, flyovers, bridges, and urban road expansions have begun to reshape the landscape of Warri, Effurun, Ughelli, Asaba, and other parts of Delta State, improving mobility, commerce, and daily life for ordinary citizens.
On human capital development, he applauded Governor Oborevwori’s efforts to shore up education and health infrastructure. Ebis emphasised that scholarship programs, the recruitment of teachers, and improvements in school facilities have contributed towards raising educational standards across the 25 Local Government Areas. He also commended free and accessible healthcare for pregnant women, children under five and other vulnerable groups.
Ebis also expressed admiration for the government’s approach to social welfare, particularly the empowerment of youths, women, artisans, and small business owners. He held up the D‑CARES programme, the MORE Grant Scheme, Women Empowerment Skill Acquisition Programme (WESAP), and similar initiatives as evidence of the governor’s commitment to inclusive development and economic opportunity for all.
Another area Ebis emphasized was financial stewardship and accountability saying Governor Oborevwori has shown that leadership can deliver heavy infrastructure without resorting to reckless borrowing, managing resources prudently, clearing arrears including promotion and pension liabilities, and maintaining transparency in governance. Such moves, Ebis asserted, build public trust and encourage further investment.
On security and peace, Ebis praised the administration’s drive toward enhanced peace and security under the MORE Agenda. He specifically mentioned the engagement with riverine and rural communities, the construction of roads and bridges that reduce isolation, and the equipment and support for security agencies pointing out that these gestures deepen the sense of safety—and hence, stability—that is essential for development.
Finally, Ebis urged citizens, regardless of party affiliation, to rally behind Governor Oborevwori’s vision. He said sustaining progress will require collective responsibility, unity, and active participation from all sectors of society even as he encouraged Deltans to support the governor, and pledged that Warri North’s APC leadership will continue to support constructive policies that improve the lives of citizens.
