As political activities gradually build up ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has intensified its grassroots engagement drive with a strategic courtesy visit to party leaders, stakeholders, and faithfuls in Kiagbodo community, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
The visit, led by Pastor Oporoza Abraham, Personal Assistant to the PDP leader and immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Barr. Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, was aimed at strengthening party unity and reaffirming the PDP’s dominance in the riverine community.
During the engagement, Abraham held meetings with key political figures in the area, including former Burutu LGA Youth Leader, Mr. Thomas Debole; PDP Ward 8 stakeholder, Mr. Odoji Dabor; and the former PDP Ward Secretary and current Community Chairman, Mr. Idowu Emevor.
Addressing party members and supporters, Abraham stressed the importance of unity, loyalty, and sustained grassroots mobilisation, noting that the PDP remains firmly rooted in the political structure of Delta State.
He reassured stakeholders that the visit was part of ongoing efforts by the party leadership to integrate members across all levels and reinforce confidence in the PDP’s future.
“Grassroots politics can never be undermined,” he said. “It is the foundation of every successful political movement, driven by community participation, mobilisation, and collective commitment.”
Speaking on behalf of Barr. Kingsley Otuaro, Abraham commended party loyalists in Kiagbodo for their consistency and dedication, urging them to remain steadfast and focused on delivering victory at their respective polling units in the forthcoming elections.
He further assured the gathering that the PDP leadership in Delta State would continue to stand by its members, providing the necessary support to ensure electoral success.
The meeting, which attracted a cross-section of party faithfuls, also served as a platform to galvanise support and deepen political structures at the ward and community levels.
The visit ended on a high note, with a renewed call on members to sustain the party’s winning streak under the rallying slogan: “PDP — Deliver Your Polling Unit.”
