I warmly felicitate with the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the government and people of Delta State, and the Urhobo people on the 35th anniversary of the creation of our dear state. This milestone is a moment of gratitude for the journey we have made together and an opportunity to reaffirm our collective commitment to the peace, unity and sustainable development of Delta State.
As we celebrate this anniversary, I urge all Deltans to continue to embrace one another in love, mutual respect and understanding, irrespective of ethnic, cultural or political differences. Our diversity should remain a source of strength, not division. By recognising and respecting the unique contributions of our various ethnic groups and communities, we can build a more united, peaceful and prosperous Delta State.
Delta State is one big heart and one big family. Providence did not make a mistake by bringing us together as a people. We must therefore continue to work together, support one another and promote healthy competition in ideas, enterprise and development, while placing the collective interest of Delta above narrow or sectional considerations.
On this 35th anniversary, I commend Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his leadership and urge all Deltans to remain united in the pursuit of a greater Delta. May our shared commitment to peace, unity and progress continue to strengthen our state and make it a better place for present and future generations. I wish Delta State many more years of growth, prosperity and enduring unity.
