*PUBLIC NOTICE: 2026 ANNUAL VACATION OF THE DELTA STATE JUDICIARY*
This is to inform the general public and Deltans in particular that the Delta State Judiciary will observe its *Annual Vacation from Monday, 3rd August, 2026 to Wednesday, 30th September, 2026.*
*Vacation Court Sittings*
The Honourable, The Chief Judge of Delta State, Hon. Justice Tessy Diai, has appointed Vacation Judges to handle only urgent cases, matters, and applications during the vacation period.
The Vacation Judges shall sit at the following locations:
1. *Asaba – for Delta North Senatorial District*
2. *Warri – for Delta South Senatorial District*
3. *Effurun for Delta Central Senatorial District*
*Filing of Vacation Court Maters*
Legal Practitioners, Litigants and Court Staff should note the filing procedure below:
A. For Judicial Divisions on the E-Filing Platform viz:
Asada, Warri, Effurun, Kwale, Ogwashi-Uku and Ibusa
All vacation applications must be filed exclusively through the NCMS/E-Filing Platform. Approved applications and documents will be transmitted electronically to the relevant Vacation Court Registry.
B. Judicial Divisions Yet to Go Live on the E-Filing Platform
All Judicial Divisions not yet on e-filing will continue to file their cases manually. Registrars of such Judicial Divisions shall promptly transmit the physical case files to the appropriate Vacation Court Registries to wit:
*Delta North – Asaba*
*Delta South – Warri*
*Delta Central – Effurun*
Such manual transmission shall be carried out promptly to enable the assigned Vacation Judge to take the necessary action without delay.
Lawyers, Litigants, Court Staff and the general public are hereby advised to note the foregoing and ensure strict compliance with the applicable filing procedure during the Annual Vacation.
