The Chairman of the Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission (HASC), Ebireri Ohwo Sunday, has extended warm felicitations to workers across Delta State in celebration of the 2026 May Day, praising their dedication and resilience despite prevailing economic and security challenges.
In a goodwill message issued from his office, Ebireri lauded the entire workforce, with special recognition for staff of the Delta State Legislature, for their unwavering commitment to duty and contributions to the state’s development.
“I heartily congratulate the entire workforce in Delta State and, by extension, workers of the Delta State Legislature for their unwavering commitment and dedication to hard work. Your resilience in the face of economic hardships occasioned by global challenges and insecurity in the country is worthy of commendation,” he said.
The HASC Chairman noted that the determination of workers to remain productive despite difficult circumstances reflects a deep sense of patriotism and responsibility. He urged them not to be discouraged but to remain steadfast in their efforts toward nation-building.
“At moments like this, I urge you not to be daunted but to remain resolute in building a formidable nation we can all be proud of,” he added.
Ebireri emphasized the importance of collaboration between the workforce and government, calling on workers to support the administration of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, in achieving the goals of the MORE Agenda. According to him, such synergy would ensure that Delta workers maintain their pride of place among the Nigerian workforce.
He further encouraged workers to stay committed to the collective vision of building a prosperous society and leaving a lasting legacy for future generations.
The HASC Chairman also joined other top state officials, including Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme and Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, in wishing workers a fulfilling and celebratory Workers’ Day.
