The redeployment of Dr. Gloria Patrick-Ferife as the new Permanent Secretary of the Delta State Ministry of Health has continued to attract commendations from professional bodies and stakeholders within the medical community, who have described the development as well-deserved and a testament to her outstanding leadership, professionalism, and administrative excellence.
Leading the chorus of congratulations, the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN), Delta State Chapter, celebrated the redeployment of one of its distinguished members, describing her as an exceptional professional whose track record has consistently reflected excellence and dedication to public service.
In a statement jointly signed by the President of MWAN Delta State, Dr. Onyi Owa-Nwabuzo, and the association’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Harriet Akpughe, the group expressed delight over Dr. Patrick-Ferife’s transition from the Ministry of Technical Education to the Ministry of Health.

Similarly, the National Executive Council of the Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria (OSN) hailed the redeployment, describing Dr. Patrick-Ferife as a highly accomplished administrator, consultant ophthalmologist, and specialist surgeon whose professional competence and versatility have earned her the confidence of the Delta State Government.
In a congratulatory message signed by the National Public Relations Officer of the society, Dr. Sewuese Bitto, the OSN described the appointment as a recognition of Dr. Patrick-Ferife’s impressive performance and productivity in public service.
