The delegation, led by Mr. Akpovwonvwon Akanigha, conveyed their deep sorrow over the loss of their esteemed patriarch, the head of the venerable Akanigha dynasty.
Upon their arrival, the visiting descendants were warmly welcomed by Mr. Victor Akanigha, the eldest son of the late Chief Dr. Michael Akanigha. He, along with his mother and siblings, expressed immense gratitude for the visit, viewing it as a powerful testament to the enduring love that flows through the Akanigha family. Mr. Victor Akanigha lauded the initiative of the grandchildren’s forum, encouraging them to maintain their unity and solidarity, recognizing them as the torchbearers of the Akanigha dynasty’s future. The family extended lavish refreshments and vibrant entertainment, creating an atmosphere of shared remembrance and support.
It will be recalled that Late Chief Dr Michael Akanigha passed away in the early hours of on the 30th of April, 2026.

This was followed by heartfelt prayers, asking God Almighty for his guidance and protection for the family of the late Chief Dr. Michael Akanigha. The Great Akanigha’s Grand and Great Grand Children emphasized how deeply Pa Michael Akanigha will be missed.
