The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its timetable and schedule of activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for the sale of nomination forms and conduct of primary elections.
The schedule, signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, details timelines for screening, appeals, and primaries across all elective positions. It also provides guidelines for the purchase of expression of interest and nomination forms.
In a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party reaffirmed its commitment to conducting transparent and credible primary elections, stressing that the process would further strengthen internal democracy and uphold its progressive ideals.
According to the timetable, the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will take place at the APC National Secretariat from April 25 to May 2, 2026.
The party fixed its presidential primary election for May 15 to 16, 2026, while the governorship primaries will hold on May 23, 2026. Primaries for the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly are scheduled to run between May 18 and May 21, 2026.
A breakdown of the approved fees shows that the presidential nomination form will cost ₦100 million, while governorship aspirants are to pay ₦50 million. Senate forms are pegged at ₦20 million, House of Representatives at ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly at ₦6 million.
The APC noted that the outlined schedule is part of its early preparations for the 2027 polls, assuring members, stakeholders, and Nigerians of a fair and inclusive process.
