Who are those comparing what happened in the early 90″s with Dame Priscilla Kuye with this ” taboo” of 2026?
Who is Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya SAN?
How many female Lawyers do we have in Nigeria?
Did they all vote for her?
Could their number ever give her the victory?
Who were those men who betrayed MANHOOD?
Were they bought?
Was it settlement?
What did she promise them?
Are you surrendering the vibrancy, activism and progressivism associated with the Nigerian Bar into the hand of a woman?
Where on earth would she garner the capacity, capability and carriage to steer this ship?
Is this not a collosal mistake?
Did she really poll over 12, 000 votes to beat her rival who got over 7,000 votes?
So many questions?
Who would provide me with convincing answers?
Can I stand it at all?
The answer is capital NO!
What do we want to turn this country to?
A female Chief Justice of Nigeria
A female President of the Federal Court of Appeal
A female Director General of the Nigeria Law School
To now add salt to the injury, we all have eyes wide open and allow another woman emerge as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association
She wasn’t appointed
Madam Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya SAN ran a highly sophisticated, rigorous and intellectual campaign
I was attracted to her on the social media with her BBOLD catch phrase
I then began to follow her
She wasn’t begging for votes on the altar of being a woman
She slugged it out on capacity, competence and character threshold
Why did they allow her to win?
She won, clearly and convincingly!
It was “aura for aura”
Another round of applause for Nigerian women
I admire our women for their hard work, commitment and organisational ability
Madam President, Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya SAN, from the bottom of my heart, i felicitate you on this record breaking achievement
The first elected Female President of the Nigerian Bar Association
I doff my hat for you
I throway salute
You are indeed a role model
You represent that class of women very dear to my heart
Not the one who sleep around
For money
For validation
For recognition
For revenge
For acceptance
I beg
Clear for my side
If e reach your turn, leave your girl child untrained
Madam Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya is a married woman
She acknowledged the tremendous support of her husband even before the victory
Yet, with next to nothing, many would prefer to be “free”😀😀😀
May your tenure be exceptionally fruitful, full of accomplishments and remembered for good by many generations to come
