Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has congratulated two illustrious sons of the Urhobo Nation, Jim Okodaso, SAN, and Onome Okodiya, SAN, on their elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
Dafinone, in a congratulatory message, described the conferment of the SAN rank on the two legal practitioners as a significant recognition of their professional excellence, intellectual accomplishment, integrity and dedication to the pursuit of justice.
He said their admission into the Inner Bar had brought honour to the Urhobo Nation, Delta State and the Nigerian legal profession.
The senator expressed particular pride in the achievement, noting that it further affirmed the tradition of intellectual distinction and professional excellence for which the Urhobo people are known.
According to him, the attainment of the prestigious rank goes beyond personal accomplishment, as it also comes with a greater responsibility to uphold the rule of law, strengthen public confidence in the judiciary and advance the cause of justice in Nigeria.
Dafinone expressed confidence that the two new Senior Advocates would continue to discharge their professional responsibilities with distinction and contribute meaningfully to the administration of justice in the country.
He also described their accomplishments as an inspiration to younger generations of Urhobo professionals, demonstrating that diligence, discipline and integrity remain enduring pathways to excellence.
“On behalf of the good people of Delta Central, I celebrate you both and pray for greater wisdom, strength and continued success as you serve the legal profession and our nation,” Dafinone said.
The senator wished Okodaso and Okodiya continued success as they take on the responsibilities and expectations associated with their new status in the Nigerian legal profession.
