Member representing Warri South Constituency II in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Chief) Benson Obire, has declared his intention to seek re-election, pledging to consolidate on his achievements and deliver more dividends of democracy.
Obire made the declaration on Sunday at the residence of Warri Urhobo APC Leadership Council Chairman, Olorogun Bernard Okumagba, in the presence of party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across the constituency.
Highlighting his first-term scorecard, the lawmaker cited interventions in education, including the distribution of free books and school bags to pupils in several public primary schools. He added that provision of desks and renovation of schools are underway under his constituency projects.
“I will surpass my current achievements. A second term will bring greater development to my constituents,” he said.
Obire commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for what he described as impactful governance, noting that his constituency has benefited from key infrastructure projects across the state.
He urged constituents to support the governor, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

In his remarks, Okumagba described Obire as a committed representative and expressed confidence in his ability to deliver more in a second term. He called for unity and intensified voter mobilization among party members.
Other stakeholders at the event endorsed Obire’s re-election bid, assuring him of their support.
The well-attended gathering drew party leaders, traditional figures, and supporters from across Warri South Constituency II and beyond.
