From the feedback, still pouring in, on my reflections on “OMONADE’S SUSPENSION: WHO’S STILL DISPUTING DELTA IS UNDER CHOKE OF A KINDERGARTEN GOVERNMENT”, it is cheering confirming that even with the populace increasingly becoming gullible, many tamed by deprivations and stomach infrastructures, many informed Deltans agree with me that our State is truly choking under a ‘one chance’ government with Governor Sheriff Oborwvwori at the helms.
Vindicated by these feedbacks, there was really no point to throw banters with the Governors rental praise singers who want to force all Deltans to glorify a glaringly an inept leadership.
But for the naysayers, cynics, including Hon Matthew Omonade who, out of sheer intimidation, fell from fiery opposition leader and chief complainant to being defeatists over the theft of his intellectual property, for running fowl mouths on me without any provocation, here are a few emphasis to address their wrong impressions.
I have absolutely no problem with Omonade distancing self from my reflection on his current undeserved trials in the Delta State House of Assembly. I have no problem with him affirming he has never met me and we having no personal or whatever relationship whatsoever.
However I have issue with Omonade, not just for resorting to calling me names, but for he and those taking the pills for his predicament, not excluding any-governor-in-power hired bootlicker, like ‘adult education lawyer’, Latimore Oghenesivbe, rambling that I was meddling in the Omonade-Gate.
For a fact, I have no personal relations with Omonade, not interested in knowing him, nothing special about knowing him. But I have absolutely every right to have shared my thoughts on the Omonade-Gate.
I don’t need the permission of Omonade, anyone else or group or the shameless Delta State Government to share those thoughts. It is the shame of an entire state, in which I am a bonafide indigene, when a mediocre Governor plagiarises a bill originated by an opposition lawmaker and presents same as an executive bill to same Assembly who shut the original owner of the bill out when he presented same bill.
On Omonade-Gate, I never spoke for Omonade, never meant to defend or support him. He claims he is a vibrant successful lawyer. He displayed some courage and exuberance in DTHA, which earned him House Committee on Public Petitions Chairman from an opposition seat.
So as a lawyer, Omonade should well know how to fight his fight and defend self. But like I said, the shame of a Governor presenting as an executive bill, a stolen concept of an opposition lawmaker, Zik Gbemre will come in, because it is shame that rubs off on an entire state.
Whatever I do is within the law and as an Elder in Delta state and a stakeholder, I have right to air my opinion when those supposedly elected are not properly representing the wish of their people. Omanade should have been silent, rather not talk.
It is interesting Omonade didn’t counter my write-up. He didn’t deny being suspended, he didn’t say his bill was not snatched from him. He never spoke on the issues in his statements. All the responses yesterday and today were against him and the DTHA lawmakers. I don’t work for any politician in government. At the NDPC, we live to the slogan, “WE MOBILIZE OTHERS TO FIGHT FOR INDIVIDUAL CAUSES AS IF THOSE WERE OUR CAUSES”.
Do we really practice democracy in Nigeria. The lawmakers in the NASS are working for Tinubu while states lawmakers are working for their governors. I have not seen any separation of power in Nigerian democracy. The lawmakers are errand boys of the president at the national level while at state level they are bootlickers of the governors.
For how long are politicians going to fool selves. The international community are fully aware that Nigeria is not practicing democracy. This is imaginary democracy.
