The De’ Maria Foundation, led by renowned public health advocate, Dr. Ebitimi Patricia Tobuyei, has impacted the lives of more than 2,000 people through a comprehensive four-day health and community intervention programme aimed at promoting HPV awareness, improving healthcare access and supporting vulnerable populations.

The outreach, implemented under the Foundation’s flagship initiative, “The Red Bloom Project:
Empowering Girls One Pad at a Time,” was held between June 4 and June 7, 2026, across four locations:
Nyanya Secondary School, FCT Abuja, the Suleja Correctional Facility in Niger State, Mararaba Kabayi Community in Nasarawa State and St. Francis Catholic Church, Pegi-Kuje, FCT Abuja.
The programme brought together a multidisciplinary team of medical doctors, nurses, pharmacists, public health professionals and volunteers who provided free medical services, health education, welfare support, scholarships and financial assistance to beneficiaries.

At Nyanya Secondary School, students received extensive education on Human Papillomavirus (HPV), cervical cancer prevention, menstrual hygiene management and reproductive health. The Foundation also awarded scholarships to selected students while distributing sanitary pads, educational materials and other welfare items to support their academic and personal development.

The intervention extended to the Suleja Correctional Facility, where both male and female inmates benefited from a comprehensive medical outreach.
Healthcare professionals conducted vital signs assessments, laboratory investigations, medical consultations and treatment of identified health conditions. Free medications were distributed, while inmates received health education on reproductive health, cervical cancer prevention, HPV awareness and the importance of regular health screenings. Welfare packages were also provided to improve the well-being of inmates.
