ABUJA — The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) announced on Tuesday that it has submitted a comprehensive response to the Auditor-General’s office regarding queries raised over its 2023 expenditure.
In an official press statement signed by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, NiDCOM’s Director of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols, the Commission confirmed that its formal reply has also been delivered to the Public Accounts Committees of the National Assembly.
The agency clarified that receiving an audit observation is a standard administrative procedure and not a final verdict of financial wrongdoing.
NiDCOM urged outside organizations and the public to refrain from premature judgments until the relevant oversight bodies fully review the submitted records and explanations.
Moving forward, NiDCOM directed all further inquiries concerning the 2023 audited report to the Office of the Auditor-General and the National Assembly, reiterating its continuous commitment to transparency, accountability, and statutory due process.
