Afrobeats superstar Davido has quietly deleted two politically charged tweets that sparked significant reactions on Saturday, August 15, 2026, leaving fans and political observers questioning the reason behind the move.
In one of the deleted posts, the singer, whose full name is David Adeleke, stated that his family would no longer support any presidential candidate, while tagging his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Another screenshot circulating online captured a separate deleted post directed at President Bola Tinubu, in which Davido simply wrote, “U no try @officialABAT.”
Although both posts were deleted shortly after they were published, screenshots had already circulated widely online, allowing thousands of social media users to view and share them.

Why the Deleted Tweets Matter
Davido’s strong family ties to Osun State politics have made his online statements particularly significant. Governor Ademola Adeleke’s political relationship with the Bola Tinubu administration has been a subject of public discussion, making any suggestion of a disagreement within the family potentially significant ahead of future elections.
The singer has previously made headlines for his involvement in Osun’s political affairs, so the sudden deletion of both posts sparked fresh speculation among followers who had been closely monitoring his political stance.
