June 7, 2026, marks a significant milestone in the life of Mr. Mike Ogbolu Ofili of Umuijemaguna, Odaukwu, Umuodafe Quarters, Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, as he celebrates his birthday and retires from the Delta State Local Government Service Commission after decades of meritorious service.
Mr. Ofili retired as an Assistant Director (Administration), bringing to a close a distinguished career characterized by dedication, professionalism, integrity, and commitment to public service. Throughout his years in government service, he earned the respect of colleagues and superiors through his exemplary leadership and unwavering dedication to duty.
A firm believer in continuous learning, Mr. Ofili holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Entrepreneurship, a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, a Master of Public Administration (MPA), and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Anthropology.
Beyond his professional achievements, he has made remarkable contributions to community development and leadership. Over the years, he has served in various capacities, including Publicity Secretary/PRO of the National Association of Ibusa Students (University of Ibadan Branch), President of Oshimili North Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, Akwukwu-Igbo and Publicity Secretary of the Ibusa Community Development Union (ICDU) at both branch and worldwide levels.
He currently serves as Chairman of the Welfare Committee of the Ibusa 1966–1968 Age Grade, Secretary of the Umuodafe Family Union, Asaba Branch, and Special Adviser to NULGE, Oshimili South Chapter. Asaba.
Mr. Ofili is also widely respected as a devoted husband, father, mentor, and community leader. His accomplishments have been greatly supported by his wife, Mrs. Christy Kate Ofili of Otoro-Orogun, Ughelli North Local Government Area, whose unwavering encouragement has contributed to his successful journey.
As family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers celebrate this dual occasion, tributes continue to pour in for a man whose life exemplifies hard work, integrity, leadership, and service to humanity.
His retirement marks not the end of service, but the beginning of a new chapter of mentorship, community engagement, and continued contributions to society.
