His Excellency, Dcn. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Esq., immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State, has felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Pere S. P. Luke Kalanama VIII, the Pere of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom, on the occasion of his 60th birth anniversary, describing the revered monarch as a visionary traditional ruler whose reign has brought honour, stability and remarkable progress to his kingdom.
In a congratulatory message issued to commemorate the monarch’s diamond jubilee, Otuaro said the 60th birthday celebration was not only a personal milestone for the royal father but also a moment of pride and thanksgiving for the people of Akugbene-Mein Kingdom and the entire Ijaw nation.
He noted that over the years, Pere Kalanama VIII has distinguished himself through exemplary leadership, uncommon wisdom and an unwavering commitment to peace, justice and the preservation of the rich cultural heritage of his people.
According to Otuaro, the monarch’s reign has continued to foster unity among his subjects while strengthening the traditional institution as a veritable partner in community development, conflict resolution and the promotion of harmonious coexistence.
“The 60th birthday of His Royal Majesty, Pere S. P. Luke Kalanama VIII, is a celebration of a life dedicated to selfless service, exemplary leadership and the advancement of the Akugbene-Mein Kingdom. The former Deputy Governor commended the royal father for his fatherly guidance and statesmanship, noting that his influence extends beyond the boundaries of his kingdom through his advocacy for peace, youth development and the promotion of the cherished values and traditions of the Ijaw people.
Otuaro observed that the monarch has continued to inspire confidence among his people by providing purposeful leadership and fostering an atmosphere where development and communal harmony can thrive.
