Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, His Excellency, Dcn. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Esq., has paid glowing tribute to Niger Delta leader and renowned ex-agitators commander, Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, describing him as a pivotal figure in the sustenance of peace, security, and economic stability in the region.
In a goodwill message to mark the occasion of Tompolo’s celebration, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Delta State extolled the foremost philanthropist’s transformation from agitator to a symbol of constructive engagement, noting that his contributions have significantly reshaped the narrative of the Niger Delta struggle.
Otuaro said Tompolo’s leadership and influence have played a crucial role in safeguarding critical oil and gas infrastructure, thereby boosting national revenue and restoring confidence in Nigeria’s energy sector.
He commended Tompolo’s commitment to community development and youth empowerment, stressing that his efforts have helped to redirect the energies of many young people towards productive ventures, reducing restiveness and fostering sustainable peace across the creeks.
